Forever

Forever by Maggie Stiefvater is the last book of The Werewolves of Mercy Falls series. (Do not read if you haven't read the first two)

Grace is a wolf, and apart from Sam, just when things are getting worse. Grace's absence is known by just about everyone in Mercy Falls, and people start speculating that Sam had killed her. Even Grace's parents and close friend, Rachel, are suspicious of Sam. Cole is trying to figure out ways to stimulate shifting from human to wolf while other members of the pack are separated. Worst of all, the wolves are being hunted.

7/10 This book was a disappointment. I don't know; part of it may be that it took me a while to read this because of homework and such and I kinda lost some of my interest. Another thing, I really dread the concluding books of any series because it means all of these characters that I have come to love have to come to an end. Also, the ending of this book didn't really satisfy me. It's too open-ended for my liking. I know, "endings that don't give you a direct answer gives you the opportunity to interpret what you think happened" and whatnot, but I would've liked to know what happened in the end. I liked Shiver the best out of the three, probably because the main conflict was Sam trying to be with Grace. I like the idea of the whole "wolf hunt" conflict, but I would've been more engrossed if it included more action. Shiver was a love story. Linger was a mix of both, incorporating Grace and Sam's love, but also sort of introducing new problems concerning the pack. Then there's Forever, which, in my opinion, needed to focus more on Sam and Grace being in love, because that's where the trilogy started. Overall, I really did like this trilogy. Though there are some things I disliked, I really enjoyed the story and the characters and am sad that it has to come to a close.

Wow that was a long review.
