My name is Katniss Everdeen. Why am I not dead. I should be dead. --Mockingjay

DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE FIRST TWO BOOKS!!!

All of the Districts, except for District 2, have been destroyed by the Capitol. Any survivors now live in District 13, which everyone thought was gone during the Dark Days. Katniss now lives underground with Gale, her mother, Prim, and many others. Peeta however, when being sucked out of the arena during the Quell, had been sent to the Capitol, where he's being tortured. Katniss agrees to become the Mockingjay, the symbol of rebellion against the Capitol. A revolution is unfolding. The Capitol and President Snow especially, have targeted the rebels trying to kill them and stay victorious. Will the rebels prevail?

5/5 for sure!!! Even though this was my least favorite out of the three, it was an excellent closure for the series. I cried a ton in this one, partly because the trilogy has ended. Once again, Collins has succeeded in giving us suspense, romance, and action in what may be the best books I've ever read.

Sparks are igniting. Flames are spreading. And the Capitol wants revenge. --Catching Fire

DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE HUNGER GAMES!!!

By defying the odds, and twisting the rules, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark have both survived the 74th Hunger Games. Now that Peeta knows that Katniss was faking her love for him to stay alive, they aren't speaking. But they have to act like star-crossed lovers for the Victory Tour or the ones they love might be in grave danger if Katniss and Peeta can't convince all of Panem and the Capitol that the stunt they pulled, bending the rules, was out of love and not defiance. Meanwhile, things between Katniss and her old friend Gale have been rocky. There are rebellions being planned against the Capitol, one that her and Peeta may have created. On top of all this, there's also the 75th Hunger Games drawing nearer. Being the third Quarter Quell, who knows what might happen.

5/5 DEFINITELY!!! This is my favorite one of the series. Catching Fire has all the thrill and action the first one had, but now there's more romance...and the stakes are higher.

May the odds be ever in your favor--The Hunger Games

There's probably another post on this blog for this AMAZING book, but here's another one...and I haven't posted in a long time.

During the war, the Capitol took power, and North America was torn into twelve districts which now lie in the country of Panem. Every year, one boy and one girl ages 12-18, are chosen from each district to play in the Hunger Games. They will all fight in the arena. To the death. When Katniss Everdeen's younger sister, Prim, gets chosen against all the odds, she steps in for her. Will Katniss return home, or get sucked in the bloodbath?

5/5 stars for sure!!! Actually, it's more like 6/5. There's thrill, adventure, and a bit of romance. This is one of the best books I've ever read.

Today just so happens to be an amazing day.

Today is a very important day.
It is the day my brother got his contacts in with only four tries total!
 (Big whoop...)

Today is ALSO the day that I lost both of my socks while I was sleeping.
It's true. All true.
It was interesting. I was sleeping, and dreaming of a penguin on a slip'n'slide that was on a cliff, so the poor poor penguin fell, but then, somehow, the penguin started to fly! Penguins don't fly...
And then I woke up, because I felt something. NO SOCKS. OHEMGEEEE.

So the Fourth of July will always be remembered as the day when Jellybeans lost her socks.

Wait... I see the newspaper.................. It says......... "Fox News Twitter Account Hacked".
Wow.
Scary.
Wow.

I also think today is something else, that everyone keeps talking about... Independence Day? Oh yaaaaa...... Riiiiiight.... Well...... Uh..... Yay!

Happy Independence Day to all of you out there!
I have 3 tips.
1. Don't do fireworks in your bedroom... it won't end well.
2. Don't set off fireworks near trees (Cough Cough *Our neighbor idiots who had illegal fireworks about 6 seconds away from a police station, and 6 inches away from a tree* Cough Cough)
3. Celebrate, and have a good time!

~~~Jellybeans is OUT!~~~
Matched
Hey, sorry I haven't posted in a while! I'm just SO caught up in the summer.
So, I am reading this AMAZING book, Matched. Here's a quick summary~~~
Cassia has always trusted the Society to make the right decisions for her... What to watch, what to eat, what to read. So when Cassia's best friend Xander's face come up on the screen at her Matching ceremony, Cassia is finally sure that Xander is her perfect match... until Ky Markhams face is shown on the screen, even for a split second. Cassia's told it's a glitch, that she should focus on leading her happy life with Xander, but Cassia can't stop thinking about Ky. As Cassia slowly falls in love with Ky, instead of Xander, she has to make a choice: Xander or Ky, and has to choose between following the Society, or following her heart.
Matched is a great book, with great imagery and an amazing voice to the book.
