This book was written in 1977, But it is still fresh, and interesting. I have read this book multiple times before, and every time I read it again, I can always feel the emotions. Meg, Thirteen-years-old, has always envied her sister. Her sisters beauty, her friends, her popularity. But all those emotions do not make it so easy when Molly, Meg' sister, gets sick. This isn't just the flu. This is a life-threatening situation, she just doesn't know it. Meg finds it hard to cope with all these symptoms of the strange illness, and Molly's eventual death.
Lois Lowry really did a remarkable job with this book. It was heartfelt, and it was something she had dealt with as a child. I would definitely recommend this book to anybody
